2023 TOURNAMENT DETAILS (2024 Subject to Change):

The Santa Barbara Open is scheduled for two consecutive weekends; June 24 - 25 and July 1 - 2. 

2023 Men’s Singles Champion Matt Berry

We will be using a "feed-in" draw system (based on the French system) where lower rated players will play in the early rounds (in the first weekend) and stronger players will feed-in during the later rounds (in the second weekend). The tournament will be divided into two tournaments.  The first tournament is considered the "Qualifying Flight" and the second tournament being the "Championship Flight".  We expect the qualifying tournament to consist of 2 to 3 rounds depending on the number of entrants.  Those who qualify will play the stronger, seeded players, in the Championship Flight of this tournament.  There will be a consolation draw for those who lose their first match in the Qualifying Tournament 

PRIZE MONEY WILL BE AWARDED IN ALL DIVISIONS AS FOLLOWS:

$1,500.00 Open Men's Singles. $1,500.00 Open Women's Singles.
(Winner = $1000.00; Runner Up = $500.00)

$750.00 Open Men's Doubles. $750 Open Women’s Doubles.
(Winning Team = $500.00, Finalist Team = $250.00)

$500.00 Open Mixed Doubles.
(Winning Team = $350.00, Finalist Team = $150.00)

**Prize money in these divisions is based on a minimum of 16 entries in each division. If a draw is smaller, prize money in that division may be adjusted accordingly.

Match Formats

• Main draw: 2/3 sets with a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set (depending on draw size, the first couple of rounds may use no ad scoring)

• Consolation will be available; match formats TBD.

• NSL points will not be awarded in the Qualifying draw.
