Dolan, Faulding recognized for Semana Nautica achievements

Jonathan Dolan and Chrissy Faulding are being awarded by the Semana Nautica Association for their outstanding performances at the 2022 summer sports festival in Santa Barbara.

A multi-event winner, Dolan has earned Athlete of the Year honors after winning the Mullen & Henzell Three-Mile Ocean Swim and the SRS – Stud Ironman, while adding a second-place result in the Two-Mile Ocean Swim. Dolan, 20, is an accomplished athlete having won an aquathlon national championship in Miami, Fl in 2019.

The Jeff Farrell Award goes to Faulding, also a multi-event winner as the fastest woman in the Five-Mile Biathlon and the SRS – Stud Ironman.

The Jeff Farrell Award is given to those who support and exemplify the spirit of Semana Nautica. Besides Faulding’s successes in competition this year, the triathlete and local nurse has also been a regular volunteer and supporter of community sporting events and athletic organizations for many years.

Both award honorees will be recognized on Thursday, August 18th during Reef and Run’s post-race beach party.
