  • What types of events can be a part of Semana Nautica?

    Festival Dates are announced in the spring. If you have a local sporting event in Santa Barbara within our dates, we’d love to include your event on the festival calendar. Just one stipulation, the event has to be free for spectators.

  • Why should I want my event to be part of the festival?

    There are many benefits to connecting your event to Semana Nautica, most notably free promotion, special event guidance, and select event permits being waived.

  • What's the deadline to submit an event?

    Our promotional materials, including printed posters and advertising placements, are finalized in late May. Therefore all events must apply by May 15th.

  • What insurance do I need?

    Event directors are required to obtain a special event permit from the City of Santa Barbara and meet the city’s insurance requirements. Semana Nautica must be included as an additionally insured (no extra cost) on the policy.

  • When is the festival?

    Exact dates change every year, but Santa Barbara’s summer sports festival is generally held over a two-week period surrounding the 4th of July holiday
