The Stud Ironman is a classic rite of passage event for the city’s nationally recognized Junior Lifeguard Program.
This event is a swimming and running tour of the lifeguard towers and corresponding swim buoys on East Beach.
Participants will start at the lifeguard tower in front of the Cabrillo Pavilion and swim to a marked buoy, round a flag, then run west to the next lifeguard tower. Then repeat. This pattern will continue from East Beach to Stearns Wharf and back to East Beach.
There is a total of five swim lengths and four running lengths.
