Semana Nautica cancels 2020 festival

To ensure the safety of athletes and the greater public, the Santa Barbara Semana Nautica Association will not host its annual sports festival this summer in Santa Barbara due to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

The 2020 Semana Nautica Summer Sports Festival had been scheduled to run from June 19 through July 12 featuring athletic competitions in swimming, running, beach volleyball, tennis, paddling and more.

Please check with individual events regarding details on cancelations/postponements or event modifications.

Despite the disruption caused by the Covid-19 crisis, Semana Nautica promises not to completely disappear this summer. Look for some digital competitions and give-aways to be announced at a later date.

We’ll miss seeing the competitors and spectators this summer but can’t wait to be back strong in 2021.
