Semana Nautica to remain on hiatus until 2022

Given the many uncertainties presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors of the Santa Barbara Semana Nautica Association has elected not to promote our normal slate of events for 2021. 

That’s the bad news.

The good news is that several of the events that normally take place during the Semana Nautica festival, such as the CBVA Beach Volleyball Tournaments and some ocean-swimming races, are trying to host their competitions at some point in the summer or fall. 

Please check with individual events regarding details on cancelations/postponements or event modifications.

Despite the disruption caused by the Covid-19 crisis, Semana Nautica plans to return to its regular format next year.  We’ll miss seeing the competitors and spectators this summer but can’t wait to be back strong in 2022.
