Top finishers of the 6-Mile Swim are awarded special ocean-themed trophies each year.
The Semana Nautica Six-Mile Swim starts at Goleta Beach and finishes at Arroyo Burro Beach (Hendry’s) in Santa Barbara.
Swimmers follow a coastal route that heads in south-easterly direction from Goleta Pier, past More Mesa and Hope Ranch, reaching the finish line and cheering fans at Hendry’s Beach.
Advanced registration is required for this event, and swimmers must have a dedicated kayak safety-escort with them throughout the competition.
